Representatives of the “Rumija” Islamic Centre from Chicago visit the Medresa “Mehmed Fatih”

The Medresa “Mehmed Fatih” was visited by representatives of the “Rumija” Islamic Centre from Chicago: Emil ef. Škrijelj, the Centre’s imam; Senad Perazić, president of the diaspora; and Mirsad Kolar, member of the Board of the “Rumija” Islamic Centre.

The guests were welcomed on behalf of the Medresa by the director, Amer ef. Šukurica, who introduced them to the work of this educational institution, its mission, its teaching and the activities through which the Medresa works to preserve the religious, cultural and educational identity of young people.

During the meeting, director Šukurica thanked the representatives of the “Rumija” Islamic Centre for the continuous support they give the Medresa, particularly through scholarships for students and through their kurban, zakat and sadaqat al-fitr contributions. It was stressed that such cooperation is an important support for the students and a confirmation of the lasting bond between the diaspora and the institutions that preserve knowledge, faith and identity.
