The Medresa “Mehmed Fatih” has received a valuable donation of 30 books, published with the support of the Fund for the Protection and Realisation of Minority Rights of Montenegro.
The donation was made on the initiative of the Fund’s director, Dženis Nurković, to bring closer to the Medresa’s students and teaching staff publications that bear witness to the cultural, linguistic and historical heritage of the minority peoples and other minority national communities in Montenegro.
On behalf of the Fund, the books were presented by Fahreta Smailović, Independent Adviser I in the Service for General, Legal and Financial Affairs, and Arnela Šabović, Independent Adviser III in the Department for Project Monitoring and Evaluation.
The Fund’s representatives were welcomed by the Medresa’s secretary, Amer Dautović, who thanked them for the donation and stressed the importance of such publications for the education of young people, for nurturing a culture of remembrance and for a better understanding of the richness of Montenegro’s different identities.
